How do I connect the headphones to the headset?
Due to the different virtual reality models, different recommendations have been made regarding the hardware for listening to the program.
The use of Bluetooth headphones is not permitted because they can cause signal delays. To ensure correct stimulus presentation times, the use of wired headphones connected to the headset is necessary.
Ideally, headphones should cover the ear to ensure auditory immersion. The higher the quality and isolation, the better.
However, the minimum requirement is that you can hear the instructions and perform the task without disturbing ambient noise. Therefore, the built-in speakers of the latest MetaQuest models in a noise-free environment may be sufficient.
The MQ3S headset only has one USB-C port. Headphones must be connected through this port. There are headphones with a USB-C connector, but if you use regular headphones with a jack connector, you will need an adapter.
You can find 3.5mm jack to USB-C adapters at specialized electronics stores or technology wholesalers.
